Six memorial candles; Holocaust Remembrance Day 2007
Shoah Echo endeavors to create a directory of events hosting Holocaust survivors. We want to make it easy for anyone to find events in their area, as it is vital that everyone has a chance to meet a Holocaust survivor. The population of these unique, important individuals is dwindling.
The stories we hear are the stories we tell. Many organizations are creating databases of video testimonials, and we commend them – but it’s equally important to interact with these individuals personally. To meet, hear, and ask questions of Shoah survivors is a tangible experience, creating memories to last for generations. A digital experience can’t replace this interaction.
Together, we can make their stories echo for generations to come.
